In May 2008, a Super Hero Squad video game, produced by THQ was announced.^[1]  It was announced as an attempt to"expand the traditional Marvel audience to a core 4-10 year-old audience".^[2]  The THQ Investor Report released in June 2008 gave a Fall 2009 release date.^[3]
